Track & field is a team sport where athletes compete individually in 18 various events and/or relays. Athletes perform for time, distance, height, and place. There is minimal equipment, no time-outs, no place to hide, nobody to blame if things go wrong, and no second chances. Track & field athletes are expected to use raw athleticism and their body alone to win an event that sometimes lasts less than 11 seconds.
At no time is an individual more important than the team. You might be in the lane, on the runway, or in the ring all by yourself, but every point and every ounce of effort directly affects the outcome of the meet and is funneled into the overall vision the team is in pursuit of. Every member has an important role in this family.
Our program is not limited to running, jumping, and throwing.  We stress academic achievement, personal growth, mental health, and character building. Success is not just winning meets. Our program encourages athletes to be successful both on and off the track. We do not expect perfection from our athletes. We expect open communication, strong work ethic, sacrifice, respect, and a positive mindset. You cannot have a good culture with bad character.
